Paris Packaging Week 2026: Key Observations

09/02/2026

Exploring the wide range of creators, manufacturers and brands that powered the Paris Packaging Week 2026 brought interesting insights around beauty and wellness packaging in the year ahead.

Paris Packaging Week always brings together a wide community of brands, creators and manufacturing partners, offering a clear view of where packaging innovation is heading—and 2026 was no different. Refillable formats appeared across many of the stands we visited, echoing themes in the event’s Perspectives 2025 trend report, which highlights circularity, monomaterial approaches and lighter‑weight thinking as ongoing priorities for the year ahead. The show’s new Discovery Zone, created to spotlight start‑ups working in areas like AI, eco‑materials and reuse, added to the sense that technical progress is broadening and becoming more accessible across the industry.

On the creative side, we spent time looking closely at how brands are exploring shape—everything from more structured profiles to softer silhouettes—reflecting the industry’s growing interest in premium packaging that strikes a balance between clean design, a satisfying touch and responsible material use. We also saw a mix of dispensing formats, from simple, pared‑back pumps to more premium metal options, showing the range of directions currently being tested. Altogether, the show underlined an industry that is continuing to refine itself: practical, forward‑looking, and focused on creating packaging that feels both responsible and considered in the hand.
